New Arrivals!
3 puppies out of Andy Bassich and Kate Rorke arrived in Minnesota and New Hampshire. Half siblings Rayna and Rommel are with Linda Newman and Sofiel is with Lidia Dale-Mesaros. These pups are a wonderful addition to both kennels and to the Hedlund Preservation Project. For updates and photos, please visit http://topointsunknown.blogspot.com/ and http://angelsinfurcoats.blogspot.com/ Two additional pups also found their way to Mahoosuc Guide Service in Maine.
Topa x Oken Babies Are Born!
We are proud to announce that Topa had 7 puppies and all, including mom, are doing just fine. Born just over a week ago, Topa gave birth to 6 girls and 1 boy. They are a wonderful mix of colors and markings.
These pups will be a big boost to the Hedlund Preservation Project as some will find their way to several homes with folk who are onboard with our preservation mission. For more information and photos, please visit Linda Newman's Blog http://topointsunknown.blogspot.com/ Congratulations!

Topa x Oken Breeding
Linda Newman from Points-Unknown has just had several ties between Topa and Oken. We remain hopeful that some little puppies will be born around Thanksgiving. This is an excellent breeding, Oken will bring a little diversity to the Hedund line with his Zulu genes.
Condolences to Kim Fitzgerald
About a month ago Kim said farewell to her faithful companion of 16 years, Migo. A most handsome Hedlund who will be very missed. Migo had a glorious coat. He was kind of an enigma, though a little cheeky at times. Whilst not cuddly or demonstrative, as he aged, he seemed to welcome bouts of affection. His name was shortened from Amigo to Migo. He loved women, but not men so much. He became the babysitter Uncle to all of Kim Fitzgerald's puppies. He pulled until age 14! As he aged, he quietly became Kim's shadow. He was a handsome boy.

Finding Chester and a Big Welcome to Debbie and Ken Reiswig
On behalf of Kim Fitzgerald (founder), we are very pleased to announce that we recently located Chester who is owned by Debbie and Ken Reiswig of Dillingham, Alaska. We had lost track of this male who was sired by McKenzie, grandson of Lupe. The dam was a wonderful bitch named 'Lucky' who has since passed, owned by Kyle Belleque.
With many thanks to Swanny, we were able to follow leads that connected us with Debbie and Ken. They shared photos of Chester and descriptions of his personality and temperament. With the coloring of his mom, he appears to be a protype well rounded, mellow Hedlund. We are grateful for their interest in our preservation program and their willingness to cooperate with our mission to preserve this rare line of Husky. So, we look forward to adding Chester to our program and one day adding his offspring to our lineage.
Debbie very kindly shared with us her description of Chester -
"Happy" "Peaceful" "Calm" "Playful" "Did I say Happy! This dog laughs!" "Gentle" "Strong" "Powerful"
They so fit his Dad and our overal Hedlund description! especially the "Laugh" word, as his great Grandma Lupe had a huge smile. How fun to see Chester carrying this "old"ancestral trait.
