Finding Chester and a Big Welcome to Debbie and Ken Reiswig

On behalf of Kim Fitzgerald (founder), we are very pleased to announce that we recently located Chester who is owned by Debbie and Ken Reiswig of Dillingham, Alaska. We had lost track of this male who was sired by McKenzie, grandson of Lupe.  The dam was a wonderful bitch named 'Lucky' who has since passed, owned by Kyle Belleque.

With many thanks to Swanny, we were able to follow leads that connected us with Debbie and Ken. They shared photos of Chester and descriptions of his personality and temperament.  With the coloring of his mom, he appears to be a protype well rounded, mellow Hedlund.  We are grateful for their interest in our preservation program and their willingness to cooperate with our mission to preserve this rare line of Husky.  So, we look forward to adding Chester to our program and one day adding his offspring to our lineage.

Debbie very kindly shared with us her description of Chester -

"Happy" "Peaceful" "Calm" "Playful" "Did I say Happy!  This dog laughs!" "Gentle" "Strong" "Powerful"

They so fit his Dad and our overal Hedlund description! especially the "Laugh" word, as his great Grandma Lupe had a huge smile.  How fun to see Chester carrying this "old"ancestral trait.
